About Us

Our Goals

We opened ZENRYOKU Izakaya with one goal in mind: to provide a cosy place to wind down after the day hustle and bustle, complimenting our environment with great drinks and food with passion.

Seasonal and Artisanal

We pride ourselves in sourcing our sakes from small breweries who put their heart into growing their best rice thus bringing your good value sakes that give the big labels a run for their money.

Also look our for our wide range of seasonal sakes and shochu that are of limited release.

Ordinary food done Extraordinary

Our simple philosophy of using fresh ingredients sourced from Japan prepared with one goal in mind - to make it delicious, no bells and whistles. Come taste our yakitori and fresh Sashimi

What is an Izakaya?

Izakaya, 居酒屋 is made up of three kanji with the meaning, in order, “stay-drink-place.” A spot to grab a drink, settle in, and get comfortable.

They are one of the most common restaurant types in Japan and a popular spot for friends and coworkers to meet up for a drinking party or to wind down after.

Drinking and dining

Izakaya is intimidating to non-Japanese due to its menu & slow pace as food is ordered slowly over several courses rather than all at once. The kitchen serves food when it is ready, rather than in formal courses of typical restaurants.

Due to limited seats, all guest are required to drink alcohol.
